We are providing release time for grade group unit planning sessions.
We are training some staff on specific software applications in order to build self-confidence with using ICT in their classrooms.

We are training a Peer Coach from each of our 10 LwICT schools.
We are providing additional release time for Peer Coaches and Collaborating teachers to meet and plan.

- Direct support for a half-time LwICT support teacher (working with peer coaches, team teachers, other teachers, administrators, and members of the divisional curricular support team).

Prior to this funding announcement, our division had a school based mentorship program in place. This additional funding has been directed towards the continuation of the program in place.

We were able to have full day inservicing for our year 2 pilot teachers and in house support from school leaders

In the school district of mystery lake, we are using it for substitute teacher costs for our team leaders, school based implementation leaders, and school based implementation teams. Once our district has purchased mobile labs for the schools, professional learning workshops will occur. Planning meeting also are occurring.

- We've been able to send teachers to outside conferences like BYTE

Pembina Trails:

Support has been provided in the form of sub-release time for both our Divisional Implementation Team, as well as providing for professional learning opportunites for school based LwICT teams. School teams consist of three staff members per school, and have been freed up for a total of three full days for pd sessions. Current practice is that all funds for this initiative have been placed in general professional development funds. Due to the additional funding, we have have been able to invite the remaining 19 schools to be a part of our implementation plan. This has moved up our timeline by an additional year.

We're using the funds to pay for release time for teachers to attend training sessions and meetings, to attend PD conferences and to pay for special training such as advanced Smartboard training sessions.

Smartboard (advanced) training - hired someone to come out and present this; payed conference fees and sub fees.

We created an exciting 3 year plan that included release time for teachers to mentor other teachers in LwICT. We have inquired about this money but have been told it has been earmarked for other purposes!!!!

K-4 are having monthly grade group meetings with LICT as part of their focus, Middle School are having area group meeting on a less regular basis with LICT focus, one on one sessions on specific ICT topics (united streaming, SMART boards, etc.), also some pull out inservicing and BYTE conference.
